Welcome Remarks
Welcome to the Department of History, Archaeology, and Heritage, Kyambogo University. Our department has, over the last three decades, been the choice of outstanding students from all over Uganda and neighbouring countries for their undergraduate and graduate studies in History, Archaeology and Heritage. Our programmes are designed to provide students with rigorous training in these areas, and our graduates normally go on to build successful careers in academia and beyond.
We emphasize research skills, a variety of historiographical and archaeological approaches, as well as different methods of analysing historical and archaeological perspectives. This helps our students to discern parallels, integrate research into larger contexts, gain a deeper understanding of historical, archaeological and cultural phenemona, and ehnances exploration of unfamiliar historical epochs and regions.
